Located on the corner of 10th and Tyler, The Firestone Amarillo is an exclusive lifestyle community recently completed in 2017. Our History
The Firestone Amarillo opened in the 1930s as the Louis H. Smith Inc. Firestone Store. It was hailed as a "one-stop shop" for car care and was the area's premier Firestone distributor. Many of the features of the original building were preserved during the restoration and can been seen throughout the homes today. These include the wood trusses, masonry walls and some terrazzo floors. If fact, if you look hard you might still find an old oil stain here and there. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in July 2015.
